Hi, I’m Alec. I’m a reporter and editor specializing in politics, public affairs, and breaking news. As news managing producer at TheNewsHouse.com and an intern at Syracuse.com | The Post-Standard, I've broken exclusive stories on state and local politics, profiled candidates for office and led in-depth coverage of Syracuse University.

I’m originally from Brooklyn, NY, and recently graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a degree in Magazine, News, and Digital Journalism. I was awarded the Henry J. Wolff prize by the Newhouse School, which is given to students deemed “most proficient in journalism.”
